In order to advance level, you must train in your major skills, and your character will advance much faster. There are of course classes which are less black and white, such as the Rogue who has major skills in both combat and stealth, and this is up to you to shape as a character. Being exactly the opposite, a Mage class will have all its major and minor skills in the Magic specialization, since a mage cant fight. It will have all of its major and minor skills in the Combat specialization, since he cannot cast magic. As you choose gender and race for your character, these will also determine attribute points and values added to your original points. You have ten starting points in what attributes favour your chosen class. When choosing a class, your character will have one of three specializations: Magic, Combat or Stealth.

Shaping your character since the beginning is very important, since the attribute points and ability, as a result, will grow each time you level.Īpart from pre-defined classes, which already have set major and minor skills assigned to your character, you can also create a custom class. For instance the Bard class would favour Personality and Intelligence, since the Bard’s often tries to find a good story from those around him, and uses his Intelligence for spells. Classes also determine your major and minor skills in game and what kind of position you hold in Vvardenfell’s social structure, such as an ambassador, famous merchant or simple commoner.Įach class has two favoured attributes, which you will generally assign points two, unless you are a flawed character. A class is what forges your character’s profession, or what job he or she is more suited to.
